Abstract

Projections suggest that between 12 and 25 per cent of the globally available green hydrogen will be traded internationally by 2050. The extent to which the market will ultimately grow depends largely on economic developments and legal conditions for imports and exports. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the applicable regulations for hydrogen trading, covering topics such as global governance for hydrogen trading, the structure of trading components, regulation of imports and exports, standardisation and certification, safety requirements, legal metrology and transport.
