Abstract

This study analyses the onshore legal framework for ammonia bunker stations to supply fuel for the shipping sector. Legal barriers to the construction and operation of ammonia bunker stations are identified. This provides recommendations for action and further development proposals for the legal framework with which identified barriers can be overcome. The study focuses on the legal framework for the authorisation and operation of ammonia bunker stations and on aspects of public procurement law regarding the licensing of the construction and operation of ammonia bunker stations.
