WÄRME4ALLE

In WÄRME4ALLE, IKEM is working on a reliable, effective and socially responsible implementation of the transformation of heating in districts.

Implementing the transformation of heating at the local level in an effective and socially responsible manner is currently one of the biggest tasks for the housing industry. When it comes to energy-efficient refurbishments and upgrades to the heating supply, the industry faces the challenge of adequately addressing the different needs of all stakeholders – including the affected tenants and the local planning authorities.

To support this process, the WÄRME4ALLE project is developing a transparent and participatory planning process for the transformation of heating at the local level. Several housing associations and other stakeholders will be involved. The result will serve as a model for other districts in Germany.

IKEM contributes to the project with, among other things, legal research on the legal framework for the transformation of heating systems and the tenant-landlord dilemma in the context of energy-efficient refurbishments.
