The ARAIG project provides scientific support for the projects on interactive basic skills of robots implemented within the framework of the ARA1 funding measure of the Federal Ministry of Research. Developing such basic skills is an important aspect of human-robot interaction. ARAIG’s interdisciplinary approach ensures the transferability of the complex goals in the individual projects. One of the overarching goals of the project is comprehensive ethical and legal advice for the consortium projects.

To this end, IKEM has prepared a legal study and presentation material. The report examines the legal aspects of the assistant robots researched in the ARA1 project and includes many aspects of technology law (in particular product safety law and data protection law), civil law (contract law and General Equal Treatment Act) and liability law (civil and criminal law).
