Martin Pudlik is Professor of Renewable Energy Economics at the Technical University of Bingen and Senior Scientist at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research. He also works as an energy modeler at Winkels/Pudlik GmbH.

His main focus is on the fields of energy system modeling, energy system planning, electricity market design but also on the field of supply engineering and he participated in numerous national and international research projects. These include several power market design and energy system modeling projects, such as the ASEAN Energy Oulooks, the Long-Term Scenarios, and the Deserten Industrial Initiative.
