Head of department

Leony Ohle is Head of the Energy Law Department at the Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility. Her research focus lies on the field of hydrogen infrastructure. She primarily works on the themes of hydrogen transport and import, regulation as well as infrastructure development. She also works on legal question on the hydrogen derivative ammonia and alternative fuels for the shipping sector. Sie studied law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and at Humboldt University in Berlin. Among other things, she worked as a student assistant at the chair of Prof. Grundmann for Civil Law. She completed her legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal with stations at the Administrative Court, the Senate Department for Justice, Consumer Protection and Anti-Discrimination and the law firm White & Case LLP. There she also gained professional experience in public law as a research assistant.
