Second project meeting of the MobiRural consortium

International exchange to improve rural mobility

MobiRural Team

On 17–18 November 2022, the MobiRural consortium met in Bucharest, Romania, for a second project meeting. MobiRural project partners aim to identify solutions for sustainable rural mobility and create guidance for their implementation.

Against this background, the first project day focused on the ‘Rural mobility handbook’. The handbook is a compilation of experiences, information and insights related to rural mobility. It is currently being produced by project partners from Spain, Italy, Romania and Germany and will be used as training material in the participating countries in the future. At the meeting, partners also discussed the project’s planned communication campaign and the accompanying social media presence.

On the second project day, the preparation and implementation of the training and cooperation platform was on the agenda. This is programmed by Innogestiona Ambiental, the Spanish project partner. The training content is being developed collaborately by all project partners and evaluated during in a test run with selected stakeholders.

The event was hosted by ITS-Romania as part of the MobiRural project. The next project meeting will take place on 4–5 May 2023 at IKEM in Berlin.

The MobiRural project (Sustainable Mobility for European Rural Areas) is funded by the European Commission. Further information on the project can be found at https://www.mobirural.com/.
