DVAG Retail Symposium 2024: Retail & mobility

DVAG Retail Symposium with Dr. Alexandra Appelt

The mobility transition aims to make mobility more socially just and environmentally friendly. However, traffic and urban planning measures to reduce traffic have been criticised by many representatives of the local economy, particularly in the bricks-and-mortar retail sector. Emotions are running high in many places. Those affected fear additional hurdles for the accessibility of their shops, declining sales and, in the medium term, a downright death of shops.

What’s the story? At the DVAG Retail Symposium 2024 “Retail & Mobility – Emotions, Experiences, Empiricism” on 15 March 2024, Dr. Alexandra Appel, Head of the IKEM Mobility Department, will join other experts on a panel to discuss the topic of “Mobility and retail: What does the research say?”.
