The management team is responsible for a large number of activities at IKEM and, together with the IKEM director Prof. Dr. Michael Rodi and the board of directors, advances the administrative and economic development of the institute. IKEM’s management is supported by a finance and a communication department.

We need to ensure that self-driving vehicles help solve existing problems rather than exacerbate them. That is why IKEM is researching innovative mobility concepts in the context of autonomous systems, artificial intelligence and digitalization. We are also developing concepts for sustainable logistics and attractive public transport on rails and roads.

We create visibility and acceptance for sustainability issues and make sure that our research is put into practice.

Transforming our energy system and increasing the use of renewables is a major undertaking. The IKEM meets this challenge with analyses and concepts for the optimization of the legal framework. That’s how we provide impulses for the expansion of renewable energies, their integration into the various energy sectors and for opportunities for social participation.
