Conference “Is it time for changes in the Latvian energy sector?”

sdr

In the energy sector in Latvia we have seen the implementation of new, innovative projects in recent years. One of the last is the initiative of “Salaspils Siltums” Ltd. for the use of solar energy in district heating. For the most part, however, the practice and thinking of 10-20 years is still being carried on in Latvia, with the result that the energy sector has not developed as it could have developed. That is why there is still a lot of untapped potential in this sector in Latvia. Which is why we can also call Latvia “a country of untapped opportunities”.
At the conference the work of the RTU’s on modeling and analysis of the energy sector, on the development and implementation of various financial instruments in the energy sector. In addition, a panel discussion took place on the results of the CIC2030 project to analyze the investment gap and needs, in which our expert Ingmar Jürgens was involved.
