CIC2030 project launch event in Riga

The kick-off meeting in Riga aimed to include the main stakeholders in Latvia. The conception was presented through the presentations of the project partners in order to receive detailed feedback on the scope, methodology and schedule of the most important work results. In addition, close collaboration should be established with some of these stakeholders in order to involve them in shaping the results. Participants included representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Regional Development, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy. It was stressed that it was necessary to understand how other countries finance their energy transition process and to exchange ideas about instruments and models that have worked well in the past. This applies in particular to the energy generation and infrastructure as well as the building sector, which are responsible for most of the emissions in the country.
